Ingredients
- 500g ground pork
- 30g fresh ginger - finely chopped
- 1 onion - finely chopped
For the seasoning
- 2 tbsp mirin - If you don't have "mirin" then, you may use the following mix : 5 parts of water + 1 part of apple sirop
- 4 tbsp cooking sake or white cook wine
- 3 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp miso
- 1/2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp katakuriko/potato starch
- 1 tbsp water
Instructions
- 1. In a medium saucepan, heat the oil (1 tbsp) until warmed and add ginger, stir until fragrant.
- 2. Add onion and pork mince, continue stirring until cooked.
- 3. Add all the seasoning sauce ingredients and stir to combine.
- 4. Meanwhile in a small cup, mix katakuriko and water together. Pour the katakuriko mixture into the saucepan. Stir-fry it all for about 1 min.
- 5. Serve with hot steamed rice!
