Ingredients
- 500g minced chicken breast
- 1 pack of tofu (firm/297g)
- 1 stick leek onion - minced
- 3 garlic cloves - minced
- 25g fresh ginger - minced
For the seasoning
- 1 large size egg
- 1 tsp fine salt
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp garlic paste
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 6 tbsp corn starch
- 1 tbsp chia seeds (optional)
For the sauce
- 25g mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp thai sweet chili sauce
- 1 tsp soy sauce
Instructions
- 1. Drain tofu, wrap it in paper towels and place it on a microwave-proof plate. Heat it for about 2 to 3 mins in the microwave. Remove from the microwave and place a heavy item on top to press for about 15 mins.
- 2. In a large bowl, combine the drained tofu, minced chicken, leek, garlic, ginger and all seasoning ingredients all together. Knead the mixture well by hand or with a wood spatula until the mixture turns sticky and moist.
- 3. In a deep fry pan, heat about 5 cm of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Drop a few mixture in the oil and if it sizzles immediately it means the oil is ready! Using spoon, drop the mixture into the oil and fry about 3 to 5 mins per side, until they are golden brown on both sides.
- 4. For the dipping sauce, combine all the sauce ingredients.
- Serve hot with the sauce:)
