Ingredients
- 3 big size potatoes
- 3 tbsp corn starch
- 1 tbsp flour
For the garnish :
- salt - according your taste
- garlic powder (optional)
- Aonori (optional)
Instructions
- 1. Peel and rinse the potatoes. Cut them into sticks. The potato need to be soaked in the cool water for about 10 minutes.
- 2. In a large bowl, combine potatoes and corn starch until the corn starch is evenly distributed.
- 3. Heat the oil for 150C degree in a heavy-bottomed pot at medium heat. Fry the potatoes until lightly colored but not brown, remove them on paper towels.
- 4. Once all the potatoes have been fried, turn up the heat until the oil reaches about 190 C degrees. Fry again the potatoes in several batches again until the fries are golden and crisp!
- 5. Sprinkle with salt, (garlic powder and aonori) and serve immediately.
