Korean style chili sauce

Korean style chili sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 5 cloves garlic - finely chopped
  • 1 stick leek - finely chopped

For the seasoning

  • 60g Korean chili powder
  • 6 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp tsuyu
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  • 1. Heat 1/2 tbsp sesame oil in a medium fry pan and add the garlic. Fry until fragrant or beginning to brown. Then put chopped leek, fry them until softened. Let it cool and set aside.
  • 2. In a medium bowl, add all the seasoning ingredients and mix together well. Add cooled garlic and leek mixture to the chili sauce. Blend them thoroughly.
  • 3. Transfer to a glass jar, and refrigerate until ready to use.

  • Serve with steamed rice, noodle, salad or meat to your taste:)
