Fisher pie

Ingredients

  • 3 potatoes (700g) - peel and cut to the proper size
  • -A-
  • 30g butter
  • 1 tsp fine salt
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 3 tbsp heavy cream
  • 50ml milk (hot)
  • a dash of pepper

  • 50g grated cheese

  • -B-
  • 1 onion - finely chopped
  • 1 carrot - finely chopped
  • 500g ground beef or ground lamb
  • 5 garlic - finely chopped
  • 2 stick celery - finely chopped

  • -C-
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp krazy salt or fine salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg powder
  • 1 beef bouillon cube (10g)
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp herbes de provence

Instructions

  • 1. Boil potatoes in a pot until they are tender and mash them until no lumps remain. Add the all ingredients "A" and mix well. Set aside.
  • 2. In a cooking pot, fry garlic until fragrant and add vegetables (B), onion, carrot, celery. Fry the vegetable until they become wilted. Add ground beef / lamb and continue stir frying until no longer pink.
  • 3. Add tomato from a chopped tomato can and the ingredients "C". Bring it to a boil over medium high heat. Reduce the heat to low. Uncover and simmer for about 40 mins. Transfer the meat sauce into a baking dish (casserole) and sprinkle grated cheese over the sauce. Spoon the mashed potato over the meat filling.
  • 4. Pre-heat the oven to 190C degree.
  • 5. Bake for about 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Serve hot!
