Homemade easy flour tortillas

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Total Time: 45 minutes

Yield: 8 to 9 tortillas

Homemade easy flour tortillas

Ingredients

  • 290g all-purpose flour (T55)
  • 10g gluten flour (optional)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 135ml warm water
  • dash of salt to taste

Instructions

  • 1. Whisk flour, gluten (optional) and salt together in a large bowl. Add olive oil and water into the mixture and knead it until smooth.
  • 2. Divide the dough into 8 or 9 balls and cover until needed.
  • 3. Roll out balls into flat discs, using the rolling pin. If the dough is sticking to the surface or rolling pin, sprinkle a light dusting of flour onto it.
  • 4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, place the flatten dough and cook until you see bubbles forming for about 40 sec to 1 min, flip tortilla and cook until the other side is done.
  • Repeat with remaining dough.
