Children grow up so quickly! I was preparing winter clothes and recognized that all trousers from last year are already too short! I need to make some for my son who is now 6years old.

6y is just getting to a big boy and I think these pants must still be convenient at this age. The rib belt is stitched inside the jeans here. So when it’s worn, the rib belt hides in their T-shirts. So it looks just like a cool pair of jeans but it’s so easy to wear!!

As usual I stick to a pattern design that’s slim line to be cool:)

 

 

Now I’m making these trousers pattern. I found the “double waist pants” are convenient for young kids. The boy who wears is 5y old.
These pants are great for both boys and girls, and they allow heaps of variations as you can change the waist rib parts as you like.

 

 

I made a Fuwa Fuwa dress with Japanese style fabric:) I’m still working on the sizing of the pattern and I hope I can update it soon. Suggestion : Try to make them with softer fabric and also with a firmer/straighter fabric.. I think they both work really well in their own way.

I tuned a little the monkey spats pattern to make them this way. I think it’s pretty cool!!
