We went to Karuizawa for ski. It is very recommended if you go with kids! Because….it takes just 1 hour from Tokyo station by Shinkansen (express train) without connection. When we arrive in Karuizawa, the prince hotel is just 10min by walking. (take a taxi if it’s too far for you)
I was not sure about staying in a cottage with the kids, but actually it was just perfect. They have “Kids park” for small kids who doesn’t do ski yet. They can enjoy sledging!

Monkey spats for a baby
I got an order from Italy and I made those spats (leggings) for a baby. I made them a bit smaller because she wanted to put them when the baby is about 3 or 4 months old. It’s so cute to see such tiny pants :) I hope she will love them.
Interior
We are now try to make a cute living room. We’d love to add another sofa to get a corner L shape. For the moment we have one sofa with lots of different color fabrics and it makes it difficult to choose another one. Personally I love the sofas at designer’s guild, they have lots of lovely fabrics. Let’s see how we can make it!
New atelier
2 new sewing machines!
I decided to buy 2 new and slightly different sewing machines and I received them yesterday! They look great and cannot wait to use them.
The top one is to do cover stitch. I was hesitating between buying this model or the Babylock by JUKI. But I finally got this one because there will be more options for using in the future. The 2nd one is a professional sewing machine and it is built to be very strong to sew. I chose Janome brand this time : I was recommended these machines by the salesperson at the shop. It seems that the Janome HS80 is a very good machine so I am excited about using it.
I just recognized that I can attach the knee-lift like on an industrial machine. I will update my feedback on them after I start using them. I have to learn how to use them first of all…
Now I should be ready to start the real work with my 5 machines! :)
